Sick, Party, Pondicherry and more!

A while has passed since my last update and this means it’s time for a new one. Off course a lot has happened since my last posts. And it is for sure how everyone who has been here for a while describes it, in India u have big ups and big downs….. Lets start with the down, for over a week I had an infection in my stomach. I thought I could eat Indian food and really took care what I ate, but I think my European stomach is definitely not made for Indian spicy food. So after 4 days without being able to keep the food I had just eaten inside my body for longer than 5 minutes, I went to a clinic and they subscribed me antibiotics….. It’s terrible not to eat normally for almost a week, and this made me lose almost 10 kilo’s!!!!! Well, now we had the big down, we can hear the big up. Right now I feel a lot better and am eating fully again. I try to go to western restaurants as often as I can to eat big juicy steaks…. In the weekend a week ago there was the party everyone had been talking about for weeks. Trainees from all over India came to Bangalore, we had rented a large house outside the city in a forest, 4 DJs, 2 buses to drive up and down to the city and eventually we were with 150+ people. The Indians looked at us very strangely when over 150 westerners were queuing up in the middle of the city for the bus. Of course things went wrong, because this is India…. After one hour in the bus, the bus driver told us he actually didn’t know the way, we were going east and actually we were supposed to go west. So around we turned and another 2 hours later we arrived. Totally drunk of course cause what else is there to do in the bus for 3 hours (especially when there is Scandinavians around)!!!!!! The party was great and everyone had a good time. Though at 6 in the morning the police had heard there was a party going on and there they came, holding their riffles and they just started to beat some people with their sticks. Yes…India…… At least this was the first time I was very happy I was extremely drunk as I was already sleeping while waiting for the bus to leave!!!!
And this weekend we went to Pondicherry with a group of 17 people. It’s a city about 7 hours drive from Bangalore on the East coast in Tamil Nadu province. This was the best and most relaxing trip so far in India. We had a house, right on the beach where u went to sleep hearing the ocean and woke up and could just take a dive. I think I’ll be back here soon!
