First week in India
Wow, finally found some time and place to write a first post. I'm in Mumbai at the moment, but over a week ago I arrived in Bangalore. The arrival was absolutely great. At 4.30 in the morning at least 7 local members of Aiesec were waiting at the airport to pick me up. I was going to stay with one of them for a few days. He got me introduced into the city, the fucking crazy traffic, the food (spicy!), 41 degrees, and all the other unexpected things (cows, dogs and rats eating from the trashpiles in the street for instance). I have too much to tell, too many impressions so I will try to tell them one by one. Also when i'm back in Bangalore I will add the pics to my blog...
So actually after having started work the day after I arrived I heard i needed to go to Mumbai for a whole week. No time to adjust and so here I am, another city, more impressions, even bigger than Bangalore (Bangalore is 5 milion people, Mumbai around 20 million!!).
the work is actually really nice. I need to do market research for an Indian IT company. I need to make a database of Dutch banks and financial companies and then approach them and tell them about our products..... Ok I won't bore u anymore with my work, but some people were wondering whether this was one of my year-long vacations!!! NOOOOO, 5 days a week, 45 hours, this is NOT holidays. But at least there is nice people at work and we will do a lot of social things with them as well (go-karting, cricket matches).
That's it for now. My first update, just to let u know I'm alive and kicking and trying to get settled!!!! Now let the parties start and I'm back to normal (except my stomache).
Check out my pics soon and take care!!!!
